The top four finalists for the Hearst Photojournalism Awards Program inÂ Portrait/Personality, Feature, and “Personal Vision” were announced.
John W. Adkisson, of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill was first place.Â Scott McIntyre, of Western Kentucky University was second.Â Ryan C. Henriksen, of Ohio University, was third.Â Dan Krauss,Â of Ohio University, was fourth.
These four winners will move on to a semi-final round of judging in April against the four finalists in the two other photo competitions and the two overall highest point scorers. From that group, six finalists will be chosen to compete in the programâ€™s National Photojournalism Championship.
The Photojournalism judges are: Ken Geiger, Senior Editor, Technology/Illustrations, National Geographic Magazine, Michael C. Norseng, Photo Editor, Esquire Magazine, Geri Migielicz, Story4.
