I’m talking to you Connecticut when I say make those images lower rez on your websites. We are circling back to our survey of member photographers and the Constitution State is in the spotlight. Twenty eight photographers are listed on the NPPA ‘Find a Photographer’ feature. Functionality folks. I would like to tell you that editors have the patience or time to wait for images to load. Sadly, no. We have the attention spans of distracted toddlers who need naps. We need instant access to those fabulous images. We don’t wait well.
Hello Johnathon Henninger. He works for the Record Journal. And I like his portraits.
Strong light but random at the same time. I like images that make you look twice and linger. Why the yellow? Why are they lumped together? Why just two hats?
Image above isn’t all that but if you know the person is Tyler Hicks and he is giving a presentation of his photos - Johnathon did a great job of working a podium moment.
Kudos also to The Advocate photographer Chris Preovolos who has a wonderful diving photo on his site. I think we’ve all been to that high school meet where light is questionable and background is messy, messy, messy. Chris took control of that room for a fantastic result.
