Fancy business term doesn’t cushion the blow. A.H. Belo Corp., plans to layoff employees at three papers following the voluntary buyout phase of the company’s restructuring plan. No word on the number of layoffs expected at the Providence Journal. According to an article by ProJo staffer Michael McKinney, around 500 employees from ProJo, Dallas Morning News and the Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., have left through buyouts or layoffs.
