The Edit Foundry is an educational blog with an emphasis on video editing.  I spent 15 years in various newsrooms in Phoenix and Denver.  I also edited a few documentaries (One currently under construction).   What I do is post a link to a story via my Youtube channel.  Then I break down the story.  I deconstruct certain aspects of the edit and tell you why I did what I did.  This is an explanation of my logic of editing.  I am not the be-all/end-all of knowledge.  Take what I give you and apply it to what you’ve learned elsewhere.
