The Photography Judges are starting out the day viewing the Solo Video Journalist entries.  A big question that came up concerned a Nat sound piece that was entered in this category.  According to the rules, this is a category for those who are solo video journalist during their entire work week schedule.  It’s to honor those who have to do it all themselves daily.

It turns out, that same story was entered in the Feature category and the rules also state that you can’t enter the same story in more than one category, so it was automatically disqualified.  Actually 2 of the 9 stories were disqualified because they were entered in 2 categories.  

I can say, we’ve seen the best stand ups in this category.  Very creative and well shot.
